Old Car City
In a forest an hour's drive north of Atlanta, an unusual museum has taken root, and the place bills itself as the largest classic-car junkyard in the world.
Old Car City started as a general store founded in 1931 that happened to sell auto parts. Since then, the sprawling 32 acres behind the original storefront gathered more than 4,000 whole American cars 1972 and older.
Walter Dean Lewis, the proprietor, stopped selling parts about six years ago. Now, he charges $15 entry for explorers, $25 for photographers. "It's history. I saved them when other people were crushing them,".
